Quite simply, this program records any incoming ICMP packets. It records the IP the ICMP came from, its size, and the time it arrived and saves it into a log file. You can also have it play a sound when it detects a ping. (You can set the sound in the preferences window.)
Why do I need it?
If you're a network server administrator, IRCop, or anyone else who thinks they might get pingflooded, ICMP Logger will give you all the information you need to track down those behind denial of service attacks.
What does it require?
Open Transport and a live internet connection.
And someone pinging you. ;)
How much does this cost me?
